At Shootin Boots, we believe that technique and skill level are the most important part of a young footballer player’s development. Sometimes in England we are over reliant on a player’s size and strength. However, if we look at the best club and international teams in world football, they all emphasise good technique and passing rather than size and strength.
This is also our philosophy at Shootin Boots with all of our skills sessions designed to improve first touch, dribbling and turning before introducing passing as players get a little bit older.
We like to make sure that all of our players see plenty of the ball during a session and our warm ups alone contain anything from 200 – 500 touches per player. Our technical coaching practices mixed with game situations ensure that players leave each session as better footballers and with a big smile on their face.
